The lovely weather attracted a crowd of around 2,000 people, with many families keen to join in on the day’s activities. Filled with plenty of entertainment for the community to enjoy, there were jumping castles, live music and dancers, a balloon sculptor, character entertainers, face painters, information about the local community and loads of yummy foods stalls; ranging from sausage sizzles to local grown and homemade spreads.
Parents also had the opportunity to enter the Ray White Glen Waverley draw, with the chance to win a $150 voucher to dine at one of the area’s finest restaurants Setto Bello. The lucky winners were Matt and Julie Maulds.
A special mention goes to Karen Chernishov and Peter Meseha who arranged the Ray White stall and to Nikkita Serle and Julie Meseha for their help on the day. An extended thank you also goes out to all the parents and children that joined Ray White at their popular face painting stall and to everyone else who participated in the day’s festivities; bringing the community together in such a wonderful way.
All proceeds raised on the day will go towards the ‘Community Garden’ at the Mulgrave Neighbourhood House.
